As I began to think through starting a new blog, the first thing that came to mind was a T-Shirt I have that says “Always Reforming.” Google defines Reform as: “make changes in (something, typically a social, political, or economic institution or practice) in order to improve it.” For anyone who is a Christian, that is their goal and aim in life, to day by day be reforming your life to better follow Christ. Similarly for pastors and worship leaders, we’re called to always try to better align our practices with what Scripture has commanded for us to do, hence the name: Always Reforming Worship.

There’s a book on hermeneutics titled The Hermeneutical Spiral that talks about how studying the Bible throughout the course of our lives will allow us to get closer and closer to the point the author originally intended. I hope that this blog will allow and encourage you to get closer and closer to how God wants us to approach Him in worship. If you ever have questions or ideas that could make this more helpful, feel free to reach out to me!

Soli Deo Gloria
